Restoration history:

The house is composed out of two parts: the single storey part built in 1904 and the double storey section built in 1982. The single storey main house was restored in 2005. It was tried to preserve as much as possible of this heritage. Most of the doors and windows are still original. Multiple layers of paint had to be removed to make the Oregon pine visible. The wooden floors in the kitchen and the bar unfortunately had to be replaced for hygienic reasons. Most plinths could stay after the paint was removed. The ceilings of corridor, lounge and office are original.

The lounge was certainly during about 80 years (1904 – 1982) the central room of the house. It was the only room with two windows, a pressed metal ceiling and an open fireplace. These three elements are still present in the original state. So when you are sitting in this room you can dream about the people who have sat here in long past days.
